Endangered Species Recovery and Reintroduction
Date: Tuesday, February 7th 3:00 p.m. Location: Common Ground: 405 Fourth Street, Crossville (map below)
OWCA Board Member and former TWRA District Manager, Bruce Anderson, will bring the topic of endangered species to life by showing us slides and video of his work. Bruce spent part of his TWRA career researching and documenting endangered wildlife in our Catoosa Wildlife Management Area. His work also included reintroduction of endangered species to this particular region. We hope to see you at Common Ground to hear Bruce talk about his experiences. Valentines for Volunteers
Date: Friday, February 17th 6:00 p.m. Location: Quaker Meeting House: 185 Hood Drive, Crossville (map below) If you've ever volunteered to do water sampling, walk a stream, got down and dirty ripping out invasive species, or volunteered your time and energy in any other way for the Obed Watershed Community Association, please join us for a GIANT THANK YOU! This is your chance to get together and see what people actually look like cleaned up. Bring musical instruments - if you play - and dancin' shoes if you've got them. Please RSVP to June at pgwhstl@hotmail.com or (931) 788-5022 so we'll know just how much hot sauce to get for the taco bar!
